  • Contracted hours

    Hello,

Just a quick question. I have recently just left a job that I was contracted 40 hours a week for. I’ve just received my pay for last month and it is extremely low because I only worked for half of the month (2 weeks out of 4) However I only did 35 and a half hours in the first week of the month. Should they pay me for 40 hours hours for each of those two weeks I worked or does it not work like that? I thought if you were contracted 40 hours you should get 40 hours worth of pay regardless of how many hours you did?*

Was this the first week you have not worked your contracted hours?
What was the reason for not working your contracted hours?
If this has happened in the past what does your contract state about pay when you contracted hours have not been worked?
