  • Cabot debt - received a claim form from County Court Business Centre

    Hi all,
I received a claim form on the 14/12/2019 regarding a debt that Cabot purchased from a Lloyds TSB credit card that I took out around 2003. I've just this minute acknowledged receipt of the form by following the instructions on a previous thread.
I'm not quite sure how to progress as I believe the statute does not apply in this case as a debt management company took control of my payments. I know for certain that payment was made within the last 6 years even though I have had no personal communication with them.*
I'm unable to confirm any default notices for the original debt or, indeed, from Cabot. It seems this has appeared to build momentum after the debt management company decided to shut up shop and move on. From what I can see, I should now be requesting information from Cabot and their solicitors. I would certainly appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you.

Thanks Mike770 for your very prompt reply.
I've sent off the requests and will let you know when (if) I receive anything back. Your help is so very much appreciated.
      Thank you.
