Hi. I, and friends, rent paddocks, in which we have our own shelters and storage, and our horses.
All tenants are being kicked out to make room for others at double the rent. We are being given notice on Jan 1st.
We have been told photos will be taken without our consent, which will include our horses and personal property, which will udentify the premises and put our horses and property at risk of theft. We know the photos are intended to be posted on facebook to make us (the horse owners) look bad as we are having to spend all our time on dismantling which naturally looks untidy. Also, as the landlord is aware, one persons horse has trashed fences on an almost daily basis but that owner does no repairs, so hours have to be spent securing fencing for our horses safety which has caused a build up of droppings which we have not been able to see to (before the fence trasher, we kept our paddocks pristine).
The person taking over management in Feb, has been constantly harrassing with messages on FB to two owners but referring to all of us, and has already stated intent to post photos detrimental to our reputation. We are supposed to have right to privacy until we leave, which the woman has acknowledged. The landlord refuses to communicate with any of us.
Is the future manager allowed to take photos without our consent and to use them deliberately to our detriment?

You have to decide how you want to fight this. Is it unlawful eviction, is it defamation (publishing false statements of fact on FB that are detrimental to your reputation) or infringement of privacy or perhaps all three. You have to choose your fight depending how much you can afford to invest in time, money and stress. It is important to consider the welfare of your horses in any decision you make. There is strength in numbers and if all your friends agree to challenge the landlord do lead the process. Hope this helps.

Thank you, apologies for taking so long to respond, things have been horribly hectic.

My next question is regarding payment.
We have always paid monthly in advance.* We know we have to pay up until we leave, so I have chosen to pay weekly until that time (hopefully within the next two weeks), so of course do not intent to pay for a single minute longer than we have to.
I have just had a message stating we 'could' be thrown out immediately if we dont pay a full month that we wont be there for!!
We will be paying in advance for a new place at the same time to overlap moving everything as it is plus considerable moving costs.
It is my contention that in giving notice, and him having people ready to move on before we will even be out of the gate, that he is dissolving the terms of our contractual obligations to him including payment frequency?
