  • More Dart Charge misery

    Hi all,

I have just received a Dart Charge PCN for forgetting to pay the charge in time when using a replacement hire car as our car had been written off. I had the pay as you go facility set up for payments for our own car and this was the first time this had happened. * I paid the charge the following day and contacted the hire company* for advise. They said there was nothing they could do and it would be handled by their specialist department and we would contacted once they received the notification. The hire company did contact us to confirm they had received the notice and passed on our details. They then charged us £35 admin fee but did advise that if the PCN was cancelled they would refund the fee.
My question is, apart from paying the PNC and sucking it up, are there any suggestions such as contacting somebody within the system* and, if so, who would we contact etc.

    Thank you for reading

If you have now paid the PCN I don't see what else you can do. The payment to the hire company is something most of them administer and you can only try to appeal to their better nature.

Thank you for your reply. I have only paid the original crossing charge so far, 2 days after the crossing. I am hoping, as it was a first offence, that there might be some goodwill, but I am not sure where to contact.
