  • County court claim - parking in private land

hello I hope you can help, my daughter got a fine for parking on a private car park that the residents of a flat had a code to get into and told her it was ok to park. There was no information on this car park, no signs, the first we heard was a letter with a fine of £60.00 which we stupidly ignored and now have a county court pack asking her to pay £185.00. I read about extending the 14 days to 28 days but we go away for a month soon. So I don't know what to do any help anybody?*

You acknowledge the claim using the details and password on the form. This gives you 33 days from the date of issue to get a defence to the court.

If there were no signs then there could be no contract created and therefore no breach and no charge.
