  • VWFS VT Start process/advice

Hi everyone, first post so bear with me.

ive done a lot of reading on the forum before posting. I’m about to VT my VW Golf 2016 car was registered end of September 2016. Contract was for 6k miles per year. I’ve done 30k. So just under 12k over what I should have done at 7.2per mile.

I haven’t started the process yet and want some advice on how to approach it to give me the best chance of winning this. I was lied to by the dealer when I took the contract stating they would be written off if I bought another car. What he actually meant was they would just roll all the negative equity into the next car.

I will be resolving all damage before the car goes back.

this is the clause that I don’t understand

“if you have already paid at least this amount plus any overdue instalments and you have taken reasonable care of the good, you will not have to pay any more.”

then goes on about having to pay excess mileage. To me mileage has nothing to do with reasonable care as it’s what the car is meant for and not how it’s used.
