  • I don't care?

Hello. I am looking for some advice.

I have a string of CCJ's/Issues of Warrant of Control letters from Lowell Portfolio 1 from a county court business center for debts ranging from £40-£1000 for things like quickquid, provident all dating back 4/5 years. The thing is though I do not care in the slightest and have absolutely no intention of ever paying or speaking to anybody. Also I never open my door to anybody I am not expecting.

Is there a reason that should make me care about this? There is a lot of people telling me I should, but I don't.

I want to know what is the worst possible out come... bad credit? Already achieved that many years ago.

Only if they go for enforcement such as bailiffs ( do you have a car?), attachment of earnings or (if you do own your own home) a charging order. Warrant of Control is for instructing bailiffs and that will add further costs on to the debt so you should probably expect letters and a visit from bailiffs... if that fails they could try for attachment of earnings or a third party debt order.

The CCJs will fall off the register and your credit file after 6 years but the judgment debts do still exist after that.

If all the debts are high cost short term loans you could look at making complaints on affordability grounds - see https://debtcamel.co.uk/payday-loan-refunds/
