  • Fighting VCS court claim

Court notice received- September from VCS for parking charge in Formby Cloiters car park
    Defence Submitted- 1 October
Small claim has been assigned to Preston County court

I am seeking advise on how to proceed having already submitted my defence against Vehicle Control Services for a parking charge notice in Formby Cloiters car park. The focus of my defence was
unfair trading practice on the basis of the failure to follow the british parking association code of practice, giving a minimum of 10 minutes grace period, and my inability to complete the transaction due to my disability. I was late because of the urgent need for the toilet relating to a medical issues (details of which were provided in the appeal). I have three queries going forward.

    1. Now that a court has been assigned will I have to go to court and what happens if I am not able to - I am moving from the country in 10 days
    2. Reading other posts I did not confirm if VCS had the authority to submit the claim and wonder if I can pursue that now that the defence has already been submitted.
    3. How can I proceed with complaints against VCS (and presumably the owners of the carpark) for their failure to make adjustments and give respectful consideration under the equality act 2010-

    Thank you
