Wescot debt letter

I have received a debt letter from Wescot credit services ltd on behalf of Npower Northern Ltd, the letter states that I owe £430.91. I am not an Npower customer now but I was 3 years ago, my bills were always paid in full every month. I am not aware that I owe any money to them. Has this happened to anyone else? I don’t know what to do!!! I also realise that the strange number calling me from Hull is them...

Wescot are only a common or garden debt collector & occasionally will get their red crayons out to colour their letters. It is NPower you need to speak to - in particular you want dates of when this relates to. When you left NPower did you give them your last meter reading.
