  • Yorkshire Bank refusing to pay PPI Complaint Compensation via bank transfer!?

    Hi everyone

Firstly I want to say hello to everyone on here as I'm a newbie so you might have to bear with me!

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I'm having with Yorkshire Bank regarding payment of PPI Refund I've accepted from them recently. Unfortunately due to financial difficulties I've no actual bank account at the moment and only have access to an online banking services provider that uses prepaid Mastercard for access to your money /payments. This type of 'account ' doesn't accept cheques but YB are saying I have to get the monies owed in a cheque. They won't allow me to nominate a third party such as my partner who has a standard bank account that processes cheques and actually tried to tell me that I basically can't now have the refund they've already offered after upholding my complaint.

My question is whether or not this is something anyone else has encountered and if so what did they do or just generally if anyone has any advice at all?? I really need a little windfall right now so I'm loathed to walk away.

    Thanks in advance
