I would like some advice please regarding an employment issue. I have just discovered a CCJ has been issued against me by my previous employer. It regards an Indemnity bond.
The indemnity bond in my work contract was for £2k to be paid back if my employment ended in the first twelve months, The cost then reduced down month by month for the following twelve months. I was dismissed 5 days before my first year was finished. Do I have any grounds to ask for a reduction.
I never received any information from my previous employer regarding my dismissal, that I owed them any money or the issue of the CCJ. I only discovered any of this when it appeared on my credit rating.
