  • Parking charges - Court summons

    Hi,

I'm a resident in Scotland that's being taken to court for over £8000 for £420 worth of parking offences. This was a good number of missed tickets. The majority being me being forgetful and a few times paying for the wrong car, or app not working at the time. My own stupidity was my downfall.

What course of action would be best to take? I feel that £8000 is an exorbitant amount for this and don't mind paying for the original amount including some admin fees but this seems to be extortion.

P.S. it is a legitimate court summons and not one of the scary letters they seem to send.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
