  • Final right to reject - help in claiming refund

    Hello All,
Would appreciate if anyone can point me to some help here.

I bought an approved used Mercedes Benz C200 Petrol (2015) with 49000 miles on it from vertu motors slough (approved mercedes trader) on 29-Mar-2019. Cost to me was £18k. Within 30 days, there was a noise inside the bonnet. Had to call road side assistance who identified number of broken parts issue. Car was in the trader workshop for almost more than a month. Got the car back on 04-Jun-2019. I accepted their repair.

The second issue happened on 01-Sep-2019, where the NOX sensor died and there was an Engine warning sign. Got it again repaired from another mercedes authorised dealer under warranty.

Therefter, a third issue happened on 17-Sep-2019 - Auxiliary battery malfunction.

I have since then rejected the vehicle on grounds that car is not of satisfactory quality (sent notice of rejection email on 18-Sep-2019). No firm stand or response from the trader prompted me to send a final letter before court claim giving 7 day notice. Following this notice, the trader cameback asking to take the car for inspection. I handed over the car with two sets of keys on 03-Oct-2019. Sent them notice to respond with deadline by 05-Oct-2019 on their final stand on my rejection. No firm response yet. The person who was handling the case is now on annual leave (got his out of office upn follow up email).

Any advice on this further will be very much appreciated.

    Thanks
