  • Yesterday I had a call from Safestore

Hi everyone, Yesterday I had a call from Safestore who have my furniture and personal belongs in a unit I have been renting since 2006. I have run out of savings and I am on disability benefits but I have been trying to pay them when I can. I now owe £549.11p which is just under 2 months. They have been great in the past and only ever freaked me out once but it came from head office and even they were supportive. I am not deliberately not paying it's just been a rough few months health-wise for me as I was diagnosed with yet another chronic health problem. the new manager called me yesterday and said I have to pay in full by Thursday next week and even after paying they are evicting me so I need new storage and 2 months fees by Thursday which is only 4 working days notice. Has anyone dealt with an issue like this before? I have filled in forms for charities but they will not even see my application until well after I have lost my worldly goods including my furniture all of which was put there because my landlords were doing major repairs in my flat that they only broke ground on in May this year and it still is not finished. I have clinical depression and this has sent me worryingly into a downward spiral after I had been doing well and I have no idea what to do and would be grateful for any advice
