  • Parking Notice

    Hi

I'm new to this so forgive me if I get it wrong
I have a problem that I am hoping someone will be able to offer advise on.
My son (who lives at home) received a parking fine quite some months ago. It was for a local hotel car park, he had gone to the car park to drop off a phone charger for a friend who was staying there, he stayed in his car until his friend came to collect the charger, no longer than 15-20 minutes. The letters we received appeared dubious and we did a bit of checking and decided that it was one of these companies that would try to impose the fine but would give up if they were ignored. They kept sending letters, then passed to a debt collection agency and now we have received a county court letter.

Ignore has not been the advice since 2012

Acknowledge the claim using the details and password on the form. Nothing in the defence. This give you 33 days from the date of issue to get your defence to the court.

Complain to the management at the hotel

Letter to solicitor requiring copies by return, in any case within 7 days, of all documents that they intend to use in court in order to narrow the issues between you, as expected by the courts.

SAR to the parking company requesting copies of all documents they hold about you

If you still have the original NTK then post up a redacted copy so people can look at it.
