  • County Court Business Centre, letter or proposed allocation to the small claims track

I have just received a notice from the "County Court Business Centre" in Northampton, with reference to the Claimant "Civil Enforcement Limited". There is a claim number, but no information on what the notice is referring to. I think it alludes to some sort of parking offence, but I cannot find any details on the the Civil Enforcement Ltd website.

There is information on how to pay (on the Civil Enforcement Ltd website), but without knowing the details of the offence, it feels like a scam. How can I find out the details of the alleged offence as there are no details. e.g car registration etc (if it is a car issue)?

Feedback is most appreciated. In this day and age of digital technology they can least provide a little more information on the nature of the offence!!

If this is a proposed allocation to the small claims track then this is well into the court process. Have you not received an initial claim form from Northampton?

If not then contact Northampfon and tell them that no claim has been received. Puzzled

Dear Ostell, thank you for your reply, I have now registered on the forum.

I have not received an initial claim from Northampton. Please find attached the first (receive yesterday) and only information that I have.

My concern is that I do not know what this claim is for, ie where, when, what vehicle etc?

To get this far someone has filed a defence the court after receiving a claim form. Definitely call the court tomorrow telling them that you haven't received a claim form so why are you getting a DQ to complete.

Really can't think how this could have happened
