  • Driver not registered keeper for PCN

    Hi,

this is my first post on a forum, so apologies if the below is too lengthy to ready But I would I appreciate some advice on my current situation with Premier Parkiging Logistics?

I have 3 outstanding PCN 2 at debt collection stage with DCBL (from the TV show 'Can't pay take it away' ) and one still within the 14 days appeal for reduce amount stage.

I parked in the usual car park but on 3 occasions was running late and forgot to call to buy a parking ticket. My car is registered to my dad but so all the parking notices and debt collection letter are in his name. I have not responded back to any of the letters tickets at all.

I wanted advice on possible defences.
I have been parking in this car park for about a year but unfortunately was running late and genuinely forgot to pay. It is a car park where yiu can only pay by phone/online.

The car park I was parked is basically land of a broken building. There are two car parks on the same land separated by a broken wall in the middle. Both car parks use the same location code when registering car reg to buy a ticket. Signs in both car park state 'pay and display' but there is on one 'Pay and display' ticket meachine which is out of order with a small sticker from Parkonomy giving instructions of how to pay on the phone/online.

There is one sign board in each car park stating 'pay by phone only' and other signs stating 'pay and display' . The signboards state 24hr parking for £3.20 but when you call to buy a ticket for 24 hours the charge is £3.40 including 20p booking fee as its done over the phone/online.

My fear is that I am receiving all the letters in my fathers name and I saw a lot of comments online stating not to respond back or give any names but I am worried if this did go to court it would be my dad going as its in his name. Could I give correct name before going court or could I turn up and say I'm the driver?

My defense was going to be around the sign boards not being clear and the charges being misleading as signs state £3.20 for 24hr but really its £3.40 for 12hrs not 24hrs. Also with the latest ticket I received when I parked in the smaller car park where there is no 'pay and display machine' but signs saying pay and display and a little sign on The back wall which is a little covered by leaves stating 'pay by phone only'

What are your thoughts? And am I putting my father at risk of being in court by not owning up?

I appreciate your comments and assistance.

Ignore has not been the best advice since 2012. Edit your post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred. Use "the diver ......"etc.

So post up a PCN so that people can look at it. Redact identifying information but leave dates.

Photos of the signs would help

Thanks unfortunately I can't edit the post for some reason it does not come up as part of my uploaded posts. I will copy and paste in to a new post and attach some images tomorrow.
