Hi guys and gals nice given a quote to a client for some repair work to damaged caused by a window blinds company. The client was asked to supply two quotes which he has done. However the company have come back to him saying he needs to provide quotes from vat registered companies? As many door traders like me fall below vat threshold I'm thinking that this is illegal in some way as they are preventing reasonable competition not to mention they are making it hard for the customer to have the repairs carried out.

Any ideas I can give to the Client?
