  • Provident debt sold to Lowell

    Hi All,

could someone give advice on a CVHelp claim that I’ve teceived from Lowell in respect of a Provident debt from 2013. I initially borrowed just over £900, they informed me that I paid just over £300 but are saying I now owe £1815!. They stopped coming to collect and it was a family friend who worked for them and arranged it. The Lowell person said that they would have had to see photographic evidence ie passport at the time. I don’t remember that as she knew us. I’ve asked them if they had the original paperwork and she said they would but wouldn’t give it to me but to the court. I’m fuming and upset it’s such a large amount from a debt I’d £500 . O have until 29th August to send the claim pack back. Thanks
