  • Car advert incorrect

Hi everyone! I'm new to this so I'll just whack my query on and see what happens. I hope someone can help!

4 months ago we bought a car that was advertised as having satalite navigation, however the chip for it was locked in a room at the point of purchase and was to be posted. When we didn't receive it we rang numerous times (we have never had calls returned) and found that the man who sold us the car no longer worked there and that not only did nobody know about the chip, it didn't exist.

The point we are at now is that we have sent a text copy of the original advert to the dealership on email, proving that the car was advertised as including sat nav, but we are still not getting responses, and I am at a loss of what I can say/do to get these guys to pick their feet up.

Is there anyway I can gently threaten them with legal proceedings/damaging online reviews (they're a highly regarding dealership and therefore have something to lose here) and what would be the best way to word this??

    Thank you in advance!

    James

You could rely on your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to get the sat nav repaired, the car at the point of purchase was not free of defects it seems.
