  • ZZPS notice of intended legal collections letter

    Hi,

In 2016 I received a PCN due to not parking in a marked bay at my work place (bear in mind I had a permit displayed and had only parked outside a bay due to there being no space, I was also running late). I ignored these PCNs and following letters.
I didn't hear anything since then until now. I've moved jobs and address. They have now sent me letters of intended legal collections if I dont pay within 14 days. They have also managed to get my mobile number and text me to contact them.

Is there any way I can fight them off? It's been 3 years can they still chase me about it?

    Thank you

ZZPS can't do anything as they are mere debt collectors and don't own the debt and if the parking company take you to court then ZZPS get nothing.

You can write to them and tell them that you are withdrawing permission for them to use your mobile number. Certificate of posting.

Have you got the original PCN still?

They can chase you for 6 years.

I don't have the original PCN. Can they take me to court for it eventually? What can I do to get them off my back other than paying it?

Have you contacted your previous employer to get them to order the ticket cancelled?

Hi, I haven't managed to get in touch with my previous work place. I now have QDR solicitors contacting me to contact them. Can they take me to court?

            Thanks

They in themselves can't take you to court, they don't own the debt and are acting as debt collectors.

I rang my previous workplace and they told me they cant do anything about the ticket as the carpark is owned by an external company so I need to speak directly with them. I've just received a letter from QDR solicitors saying I have an outstanding balance and if not paid then you will be issued with a CCJ. What steps can I take? Thanks

Either pay or ignore QDR. CCJs are not just issued, they have to follow the court process.

                  Have you got the PCN

Hi, can you update the post about what happened. QDR can not issue you an CCJ. Their letter may seem threatening but no way they can issue u a CCJ or affect your credit score is if they take you to court and you lose, and then decide not to pay, which i am sure in the letter it doesn't say definitely they will. they are just scary threats hoping you pay the full amount.

If (which is very very very unlikely) they send you a letter before action (LBA) then you must respond, other than that just ignore. If you want to get rid of them then send them a letter saying "the debt is denied" giving your reason, and as a debt collector they have no right to chase you as there is no CCJ against you. Report them to the SRA if they carry on sending threatening letters.
