  • Hello new member here

Hi new member herr. Ibe come to this forum because I recently sold a boat privately for £3000 which all went well. However the marina where I keep the boat have stated that as part of the contract they reserve the right to claim a 10% plus VAT brokerage fee on any vessel sold whilst being kept at their marina.
as I did not involve the marina in any part of this private sale nor did I advertide the boat for sale within the narina Iwish to dispute their claim to this brokerage fee.

However I asked for an invoice to be supplied and was told one would be provided after I paid. The marina then stated that the new owner would not be able to accesd the boat until the money is paid. The boat is currently paid up in full until the 21st July at which point a further quaterly payment is due of which if nessacary I am able to pay. However I was hoping this matter would be resolved and the new owner could discusd his own mooring arrangement with the marina.

not quite sure where to post this

    regards

    Hello

Can you supply a copy of the terms and conditions because even though they may not have brokered the deal, depending on the way its worded they may be entitled anyway. If that's the case, then it may be considered an unfair term.

If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
