Hi,
I took out a vanquis credit card in 2015 to build up my credit again but in 2016 I started to fall behind with payments eventually ignoring all letters before getting a ccj against me in mid late 2016 through Lowell's which they pursued me for a while then I heard nothing until beginning of this month (july) where I recieved a notice of warrant of control requesting payment for 279 pounds on a debt totalling over 1400. I was away with work when this arrived and two days after getting back a bailiffs letter warning me that my good could be taken away if I didn't pay so I paid 279 to the court.
Now I went to check my credit report and my file shows a ccj for January 2019 and no record of the ccj I had in 2016. I'm 100% sure I had a ccj so my question is where did it go? is there a way I could contact vanquis or Lowell's to find out. I have no paperwork at all as I left my previous address with nothing and did not receive any correspondence at my new address save for a letter saying Lowell's portfolio had taken over the old vanquis account.
