Thanks for taking the time to look over my issues, I've started my response letter to them but any sort of help from here would be so grateful. Basically started my VT process after my hours in my job was cut last year 2018 and I knew i would really struggle paying the payments. They quoted me a figure as I hadn't reached the halfway point into my agreement but it was coming very close to it. I carried on paying scrimping by to try and keep on top of the finance as I didn't want it to affect my Credit score and managed to do so without missing any payments and they was always ontime. In late March early April I activated my VT to them and the car was collected with only £50 damage to the wheels (Which wasn't down to my bad parking but a big stone on the M62). All was fair got a quote of around £400 to pay off to settle the finance. It was only once then i'd received my "Final Bill" they had pumped on £2500 for excess mileage charges bringing my grand total to a whopping £3000 invoice.
I used the templates as a reference to sent to them insisting that under my rights I was only liable to pay up to half of the agreement which was around £7000, at the time I had paid about £6700 and have had the car over 3 years of my 4 year agreement. After them acknowledging my complaint over the mileage charge it took them 8 weeks to decide that instead of now hounding it to me as "I've went over so much you owe us this" they are now trying to class it as I hadn't taken reasonable care of the vehicle. During my phone call with them I had said that I would pay what I owe which is the £400, £50 for the damage to the wheel which is BS and £350 to take me to my half way point on the finance" which they wont accept.
I can provide any emails or references for anyone who would offer any sort of help but I don't want to email them back without proper guidance. Thank you so much for taking time out to read the mess they have left me on this situation.
