    Hi,
Reading quite a few threads but still want to get own answer etc for an up to date case. Caught shoplifting in Tesco and been banned! I accept this and move on. Just a question about the security staff saying I will receive a letter with a fine to pay? Couple of questions....

Can I definitely, successfully ignore all letters about this fine?
Also, how long does it usually take to receive this letter?

    thanks for help in advance

I would suggest that you look through the forum for the many other threads mentioning shoplifting.

This is not a fine, only the courts can issue a fine and that has not, and will not, happen. The security money are trying to get money for an alleged loss which didn't happen.

look for the RLP OXFORD case where one of these security companies was severely mauled by the judge and haven't tried again since
