  • Trace debt recovery letter but no PCN

I have received a letter from Trace Debt recovery on behalf of UK car park management. This is the first I have heard on the matter. No PCN etc. They are demanding £160. The only info on the letter is the date of the alleged contravention. I have no idea where or what time. Would like some advice on how to proceed. Thanks.

    Hi

Trace are merely 3rd party debt collectors; as such, they have no legal standing in this & can safely be ignored.....but file/keep it on record for the time being
If you receive further demands, particularly if a letter before claim or a pre-action protocol letter from either the parking co or their legal reps, give us a shout on here.

I have received the same letter from Trace today stating owe £150 for parking charge but never received a PCN on vehicle or letters prior to this one. Don't understand as was working the day supposedly received pcn.

djhindle2180 you are probably best to create your own new thread rather than tag onto an old thread that has no posts on it for 3 years.
