Discretionary bonus

I'm currently going through a grievance with my employer over a discretionary bonus that wasn't changed at the first opportunity. I have asked for it to be back dated as I believe it is down to there error it wasn't picked up.
Originally i was told as it was discretionary they wouldn't do so.
I have argued that they haven't given me a valid reason as to why I wasn't awarded it and other employees were. Its now 9 weeks since my stage 2 meeting and they're basically ignoring me.
Id like to learn how I can bring legal action to them to claim this money.

Nor sure I entirely understand by what you mean by "
discretionary bonus that wasn't changed at the first opportunity". However what are the criteria around the payment of the bonus and do you know if you have met the criteria.

Do you have any documentation around the discretionary bonus scheme that you can anonymise and post up here?
