  • What a Mess Toxic relationship. Advice appreciated

I fully appreciate the next step is a Lawyer but some advance advice appreciated. I appreciate this is a long post but please bear with me.
I am 66 yrs old a Pensioner and registered disabled. I am locked into an extremely "toxic relationship with my a person who I am still married to. The is no violence or aggression (apart from verbal arguments) and nothing I say or do seem to be right. She regularly wishes me dead. Our relationship died years ago and we virtually leave separate lives in the same house We have no children and she is unemployed and also registered disabled
She is a "shopoholic" and has filled the house with new clothes that she never wears and just about everything else over the years. Eg: the kitchen cupboards are filled with over 250 teacup & mugs. The front bedroom , hall, landing have rows of commercial clothes rails with £000's worth of unworn clothing. The house is literally a fire hazzard Even now,she will not stop buying items she will never use. She was made bankrupt in 2010 and I legally bought her share of the house from the Official Receiver (although we have a joint Mortgage) As far as I am aware. I own all her share as well as mine.
My problem is I want a divorce and sell the house so I can move on, and have my own home she refuses saying "I do not want to sell my home" She refuses to acknowledge I bought her share when she was bankrupted. I am even happy to give her half of the remaining equity after the mortgage and fees are paid but she does not want to know. My questions....

    1) Can I apply for Divorce on the Grounds of her unreasonable behavior? (ie: her apparent pathological need to spend money)
    2) Can I legally sell this house without her consent?
    3) Am I obliged to give the 50% of the equity?

I just want out to live what is left of my life as a happy man and any advice would be much appreciated.
