  • Caught shoplifting, no police called

I was caught shoplifting in topshop, I’m over the age of 19 this is the first time I’ve ever done it, I also have a completely clean record. They didn’t call the police however took my photograph, full name, date of birth and adress. I have been banned from the store. I paid for the item, total £50 and was let go with the the form.
Will I be contacted by the police and will there be further action? It was a very stupid thing to do and I deeply regret, I don’t want this to impact me further later in life, so is there any action I can take in order to prevent this.
    Thanks

Very unlikely police will contact t you. You will probably get a letter asking you to pay for their losses but just file it away and ignore
