Parking charge notice

Received notice on 18/06/19 regarding a fine that occurred on the 17/05/19 from private company.

my question is, my surname is spelt incorrectly by one letter. The letter I received today is now a month old.

Its a private company can I avoid this?

can this affect my credit score?

any help is appreciated
