my licence was revoked in april 18/4/19 because I have COPD but with no side effects, I moved to a new gp and she told the dvla I was not fit to drive even though she had never seen me, I challenged this to the dvla who asked for further medical proof that I was fit to drive, my consultant provided this and said as I had no other problems apart from being on oxygen in her opinion I was fit to drive ,after words with my gp she submitted a new letter asking the dvla in wales to asses me, as I live in Scotland this seemed far fetched, instead the dvla said their doctor had asked for me to go to a drivers assessment centre in Edinburgh which has a five months waiting list, they understand I would have to carry four oxygen bottles with me but they refuse to let me use my car which is costing me £240.00 per month for sitting doing nothing, I have been unable to leave the house since april and my wife who has heart problems and severe arthritist has had to do everything to run the household, we also depend on neighbours to get groceries and pay our bills

If you want to appeal the decision, you will need to make a written application to your local Magistrates Court within 6 months of your licence being refused or revoked. You will need evidence, including medical evidence, to support your argument that the DVLA made the wrong decision and that you are fit to drive.

It is a good idea toget legal advice from a solicitor who specialises in motoring/driving offences before doing this to find out whether you have a good case.

There is no legal aid available to appeal the DVLA’s decision, so you will have to pay for any legal assistance unless you can find a pro bono lawyer. If you lose you might also have to pay the DVLA's legal costs, so the process can be expensive.
