    BCOBS for account closure?

My wife has had small business account with a high St bank for 16 years. There have been no issues or problems with the conduct of the acc so she was shocked to receive a letter saying:
“we have conducted a thorough review...sorry to advise you...no longer able to provide you with banking services...The decision to close your acc was taken based on a careful and thorough review of your acc. On ...date and in line with our Bus banking t&c we will close your bus.banking acc”
This was devastating. The business was highly seasonal and at that time the balance was up to its limit. She would not be able to open an acc elsewhere with the same overdraft facilities. The business could not continue. Her income was gone. Her nest egg for her retirement gone (sale of the business). My wife had a breakdown.
I wrote to the bank to explain the effects of their actions.
They replied that “the review does need to be completed”!!! It would seem that they required my wife to complete a questionnaire (I think to cover themselves against money laundering). Had they been honest and straight forward and said in their letter that the acc would be closed unless she completed the questionnaire, then she would have completed it! By not being honest and fair in their initial letter, all this could have been avoided.
Do you think that we could take the matter to the county court using BCOBS?
