  • How to contact Uxbridge County Court?

I had a hearing transferred from Croydon to Uxbridge County Count in early May. Its small claims track and I am the claimant.
I cannot get through on the phone line (the call just ends after a 'we're all terribly busy, call back later' recorded message). Clearly a system put in place by someone with complete contempt for the public.
They also haven't responded to my emails, which I sent to countycourtuxbridge@justice.gov.uk and to countycourtuxbridge@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk in early May.

I just want to ask them (1) About the progress of my case and (2) When I can make submissions via email and which address to use?

Can anyone here answer question (2)?

Is there any other way I can get in touch with Uxbridge Court? Perhaps just turn up there and ask to speak with a clerk?

Croydon were excellent in comparison - they have a call queuing system. I always got through, despite the long waits. The staff replied to emails and were helpful on the phone.

      Thanks DES8
Yes, I've read and followed the email guidance. I'll just wait for a hearing date (they've got to give me that at some stage!) and then make my email submission. In the meantime I'll keep trying to reach them and may even knock off early from work and go there in person as I live locally.

If anyone else at LB has first hand experience of Uxbridge CC then I'll be glad to hear from you!
In online reviews their phone line is universally panned by the public...unfortunately no one in change seems to give a flying fig!

I've had no further success in contacting the court. Again, my phone calls and emails don't get answered. I've created a complaint via Resolver. This the MOJ's recommended method of raising a complaint about HMCTS...so will probably be a waste of time!
The wheels of justice appear to turn especially slowly in Uxbridge.....

Update: I got a letter and and apology from Uxbridge County Court following my complaint via Resolver...basically blaming lack of resources and workload for the delays and for the calls and emails not being answered. I still haven't received replies to my emails but I at least received confirmation that my case is in their system - and didn't get lost in the transition from Croydon County court as I was beginning to fear.
