I had a hearing transferred from Croydon to Uxbridge County Count in early May. Its small claims track and I am the claimant.
I cannot get through on the phone line (the call just ends after a 'we're all terribly busy, call back later' recorded message). Clearly a system put in place by someone with complete contempt for the public.
They also haven't responded to my emails, which I sent to countycourtuxbridge@justice.gov.uk and to countycourtuxbridge@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk in early May.
I just want to ask them (1) About the progress of my case and (2) When I can make submissions via email and which address to use?
Can anyone here answer question (2)?
Is there any other way I can get in touch with Uxbridge Court? Perhaps just turn up there and ask to speak with a clerk?
Croydon were excellent in comparison - they have a call queuing system. I always got through, despite the long waits. The staff replied to emails and were helpful on the phone.
