  • Hello

    Hi
ive just received a Notice of Intended Prosecution as I was caught on a manned camera doing 57 in a 40 zone. I hold my hands up to speeding.
I am a Type 1 diabetic, suffer from PTSD and driving my car is the only way I can get from A to B, especially to do my job.
I am not sure what to do. I understand that it's not usually heard in court for 6 months but wanted advice.
    Thank you
Jackie (Bruce) they have referred to me as Miss but I am a Ms!

Penalty for 57 mph in 40 mph limit zone is disqualification for 7 to 28 days OR 4 to 6 points on licence plus band B fine

      Fine calculation here: https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/fine-calculator/

Before pleading your health conditions as mitigation, have you checked if you need to inform the DVLA

        Hi & welcome to LB.
I guess the first question would be.......why?
& was it in any way due to your diabetes, etc?

        When (date) was the incident?
When (date) did you receive the NIP?
