Compensation - Damaged Washing Machine

This seems a really good forum. If you could direct this post to the relevant section that would be great.

My girlfriend purchased a bra less than two months ago. However it disintegrated in the washing machine. Leaving the underwire exposed. This underwire caused havoc and had torn all the seal of the washing machine and damaged other clothes also. She has never had this problem so it’s not the washing machine.

Would the retailer who sold the bra be liable for some form of compensation for the damage caused?

Very unlikely. Underwired bras usually are hand wash or washed in a lingerie bag.

What was the washing instructions for the bra.

i washed my all intimates in laundry if you have good quality underwired bra you can wash it in laundry
