    Hello
I am new here! Hope I can gain some help and advice!
I currently have a CCJ on my credit file. This has been wrongly place on there and I have spent the last 5 years trying to remove it. The CCJ is for my mother, I am Miss S fryer and my mother is Mrs S fryer.
I have tried to contact the credit agencies to get it removed but due to the lack of identification on the CCJ such as date of birth or full name. They will not remove it. I have tried to contact the courts and they won’t correspond with me as I am not the claimant!! I also have contacted the company the CCJ is with who have been very helpful and sent me a letter stating that the debt is not with me! This is still not enough for the CCJ to be removed. I have even paid £255 pounds to go to court to get it removed as per the instructions of citizen advice but this hasn’t worked either as I am not the claimant. This has been very stressful and I have had 5 years of poor credit scores when it’s not even me who has the debt. My mother is resistant in helping and stated that she has tried and failed!! I really don’t know what to do! I am unable to get good credit because of this!

Doesn't help but if this CCJ has been on your file for five years already it will fall off next year.

However you seem seem to have endured 5 years of a wrecked credit file and a ccj against you on the register wrongly.

You made a set aside application which was refused by the court as you aren't a party to the claim ( which is right ) did you get the court fee back ?

You have a letter from the judgment holder confirming the CCJ is not against you ? Are they actually doing anything to correct the record and have you given a copy of that to trust online ? Have you made a formal complaint to the cra/registry trust/information commissioners office ?

Are you financially associated/linked with your mother on your credit files at all ?

And when did you find out about the CCJ ?

      Hello
I found out about the CCJ on my file when I applied for a joint account with my partner about 4 years ago. No I did not get my court fee back as they are assuming that my mother sent the form not me!

No one seems to want to take responsibility to correct this. The credit agencies refuse as there is not enough information about my mother to prove that it’s not me. There is no first name or date of birth. The account was on a Mrs S fryer. That’s the only information they have.

I have tried to complain to people but I hit a brick wall as they want confirmation from my mother but she refuses to do anything and states that she has ‘tried’. Which is not helpful.

No I am not financially linked only by living together when I was at university.
