So after having a warranty from BRITISH Gas covering the house heating system, started Jan2018, I called them out as the pressure in the boiler keeps dropping. Anyway the engineer found an issue with one of the radiator valves and detected sludge in the system. He then said that we are not covered for this?!? As there is sludge I asked why this wasn't detected during the pre warranty Health check(by British gas), he meninges that it should have been and that they won't touch anything else until the system had been cleaned £1200. Quote.
So we called British gas to say any want this mentioned during the health check I was informed that they aren't responsible for looking for sludge or checking the water?! And are sending another engineer for a second opinion.
So the insurance we have paid for will not fix the issue they have detected, because they perform a check for something we had no idea was an issue ??
All advice welcome.
