  • Finance on car when moving abroad

Hi, new member so apologies if this has been asked and answered before
I bought a car on finance last May (2018) from Kia through car finance 24. I have accepted an opportunity to work for the next 2 years in Oman from Aug this year. I am wondering what to do, shall I return the car to the finance company or if I have to continue paying for it, can I take it to Oman? I have gap insurance. Any thoughts are most appreciated.

    Hello

There's usually a provision in the contract that restricts you from taking the car abroad for long periods of time and its common to see a clause that says you can take it abroad for a period of up to 90 days without informing the finance co. If you want to retain it longer then you will usually need to give them a call to discuss further.

Long story short, check your contract and see what it says about taking your car abroad.
