Hello guys,
I was apprehended few days ago in Boots in Westfield. At the end of it, I paid for all the items that I shoplifted and also paid for other items for I was accused of stealing.
The reason why I did that was because I bought protein powder before from Boots but at the time of buying it I did not have any idea that it was no longer sealed. I tried to give the item back but they refused. So I just wanted to get my money back, hence I committed a rather cowardly act.
I was very cooperative and gave all the details that they asked for as I wanted the entire ordeal to end as soon as without any issues. It doesn't bother me that I have been banned for 5 years as I am never buying from the pharmacy ever again anyway.
I have read that most people have been warned during their interrogation by the security that they will be receiving a fine, but no such warning was given to me. I only signed a banning letter, paid and got escorted out.
I am aware that I should just ignore the letters as it should be Boots that sue me not RLP. However, I don't fully understand how strong my legal case is should RLP (unlikely) sue me.
Also given that Boots is planning to shut some stores in the UK, I doubt they will bother spending time suing me for zero loss(es).

I did not bother arguing with the security team as I knew they wouldn't believe me anyway also I did not have a receipt for the items that I genuinely purchased from a different shop a day before the incident.
I understand that from Boots perspective, they have no loss at all, in fact they made a profit out of it.

Given that Boots works with RLP, I expect that I will receive a letter from them. So will I get a letter?
