  • divorce court order

    Hi

my husbands ex wife got given financial responsibility for the house they shred when they divorced 10 years ago, she has never maintained the payments properly and eventually abandoned the house i a horrific state, then gave my husband a signed letter stating she didn't want the house.

as my husband was (and still is) on the mortgage the only thing he could do was to take over the property to avoid her dragging him through bankruptcy when the house she got the house repossessed, which is what she was going for, to ruin him.

my husband took over the property 2 years ago and has since paid off the £3000 arrears she had built up and spent a considerable amount on the house just to make it habitable again.

now shes seen what hes done and shes gone to court (behind his back- she got the courts to write to the address he lives at 2 years ago!)
the court have stated that house is to be sold, but my husband has asked to see a district judge as he had no notification of the court date.

can someone help and let us know what we need to to help us to convince the judge to overturn this decision?

We are now sick to the back teeth of her games and want her out of our lives for good. She had a full 8 years to take my husbands name off the mortgage but made no attempt to pay all the arrears, maintain the payments or speak to the mortgage company at any time.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as she is looking to make us homeless out of pure spite.

    Louise
