  • Conflict of interest?

I have a legal litigation case at the moment, and my previous solicitors (who I used for conveyancing) are now acting against me in a dispute matter for the Landlord - is this not a conflict of interest? and could they not be heavily fined?

please advise, any comments are most welcome

The rules about Conflict of interest and confidentiality are covered by rules 3 & 4 of the SRA Code of Conduct (https://www.sra.org.uk/solicitors/ha...3/content.page)

If the solicitor is following the rules it is not automatically a conflict of interest to act on behalf of your opponent
