  • Shoplifting

    Hi

long story short, I shoplifted and a staff member followed me out the shop. Instantly regret what I had done. So I left the bag with the things I took from the shop in a car park next to the supermarket carpark. Then I went back to my car at the supermarket car park. The staff member was still standing out side as I drove away. Then the staff member went to retrieve the bag with stolen goods. Mainly was food I took.

will I get a fined or what will happen next? Will police knock on my door.

    I'm so worried.

thank you for your reply in advance

Probably nothing at all will happen. How do they know who it was?

As said above, there will probably be no repercussions from this as identifying you would be a big issue. They may be able to use your registration number to find out who you are but i'm not sure if they would be permitted to retrieve information this way. Issue with this is you may not be the registered keeper.

I would not go into this shop in the near future and would shop else where. If you did so then potentially that member of staff may see you and recognise who you are and therefore lead to you being stopped and formally identified as that person on the CCTV.

DVLA form v888 (Costs about £2.50, I think.)
Will get you the registered keeper....not necessarily the driver.

Thanks for your reply. I am going to stop doing it and go to that store again. Lesson learnt
