Hi there,
I am new to this site and was looking for a bit of advice on the voluntary termination of my PCP with Barclays Partner Finance.
I phoned Barclays yesterday seeking a voluntary termination and was advised that as I have paid more than 50% of the agreed finance I am eligible to proceed.
The lady I spoke to was not entirely helpful and said they would send me paperwork in the post which I will receive in 5 working days and also advised the whole process takes at least 21 days.
I was advised that if I want the car collected it will cost £150 or I can take it to a drop off centre for £75. She vaguely mentioned a third option of taking it to an auction.
I asked if this information could be e-mailed to me and was told no it will be sent in the post.
I was talking to a colleague in work who stated that the finance company should be coming to collect the vehicle for free and that I shouldn't sign any paperwork they send me.
Can anyone please advise me on this matter?
Apologies if this is a regular or repeat question but this is the first time I have taken out a PCP deal and tried to return the car so I am unsure of the correct process and do not wish to be taken advantage of.
Cheers
