  • Apprenticeship advice needed

In October 2018 my son was given a level 2 plumbing apprenticeship by a company where my son in law works. All my son needed to do was enrol at a collage for level 2 plumbing where he would attend one day a week. Also he needed to get his cscs card to enable him to go on sites. F
or the majority of the time, my son worked along side of my son in law but occasionally other employees up until a few days ago when my son in law received a phone call of there supervisor who told him they had lost the contract for the site they were working on and they couldn't afford to keep him on. No-one contacted my son to speak with him so today he's been InTouch with them to see what was happening with him and been told the same and that because he doesn't drive there's no one to come and pick him up. Should a company be allowed to finish an apprentice in this way. This is the second time now for son as had this done to him.
