  • Age 60, no pension until 66 yrs

I am fed up and very angry. as I am about to receive my occupational pension and lump sum, which will impact on the means tested benefit I am now on, due to having MS and being unable to work. I should have been receiving my state pension now, to make my occupational pension worth paying into for all those years, but some politician had other plans.. I don't know what will happen when I contact DWP to let them know about the change in my situation, its keeping me awake at night and increasing my MS pain every day. I want to use part of my lump sum to buy an automatic car, as I live in a rural area and have no nearby bus stop so need to drive, I think this may be seen as depriving myself of money in order to get the benefit I am already on. I really don't know what to do for the best. HELP!!
