  • Paid My debt the day the claim form arrived - Am I still liable for the extra fees?

Hi. I had a debt of £1250 which I paid in full today by bank transfer. When I got I home I found a court claim for £2350 on my dorr matt. The 'Date of Service' stamp isn't until 2 days time and the issue date was yesterday.

My question is will I still be liable for the extra 'admin fees' they have added on top of the original debt?

    Thanks in advance.

That sounds like a lot of court and admin fees.

Court fee would be £105 if it was issued through moneyclaim online ( is the claim from Northampton County Court Business centre ? )

Who is the claimant and is that the same people you made a payment to today ? Had you spoken to the claimant before making the payment and agreed a figure to settle it in full ?

Thanks for the reply. I got my wires crossed the court claim was for a differnt bill (flat service charges) that I though was being paid. I have settled in full to prevent any ccjs, Savings disapearing fast because of ex.
