Hi all,
My partner was assaulted by nightclub bouncers in a French ski resort last week. The attack was unprovoked and he suffered a broken nose and severe facial bruising.
We can claim ambulance costs and lost days of skiing (from prepaid lift passes) back on his insurance and have reported it to the French police, the Gerndarme. Unfortunately they seem to be letting the case slide and not charge this assailant nor the facility it happened in. The facility deleted CCTV of the assault and the assailant worked for them. I can imagine the French police aren't acting on it as they're assuming tourists won't pursue a case in another country.
Does anyone know anything about the French legal system please? I'm unsure of who we should contact and what we could do to push this forwards.
Thank you in advance! Any advice would be really helpful
