Hi, I have PPI on old loans with a Lloyds I payed off but the last loan I defaulted on and has become statute, if I claim the PPI on the old payed off loans will Lloyds refuse or just use them to pay off the defaulted loan, should I just let sleeping dogs lie...

The older loans that you settled should be absolutely fine to claim back PPI on without causing any issue. The final loan may have the PPI taken off of the balance, but if, as you say, it is over 6 years since you defaulted and no action has been taken to recover it, it should be statute barred and has likely been sold on/written off anyway - so that should also be fine and the cheque should come direct to you ( if your claim is upheld). Were each of these loans consolidating the previous loan and a bit extra or were they all entirely independent ?

Our PPI Complaint Form should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and you’ll need to provide your name, address and date of birth. Please also tell us why you’re unhappy with the PPI policy you took out.
