Voluntary termination hand over

Hi A little bit of information please, When do I fill in Section 9 of the log book on voluntary Termination of the contract or when the finance company have the car collected, Also the tax is due on the 31st December do I have to tax it when the contract was terminated on the 21st December? If the haven't collected it by the 31st
Any advice would be most helpful thank you.
