  • RLP - primark shoplifting

    Hi,
so other day I was caught taking an item of £5 in primark I am expecting letters from the RLP as they said this would happen. And I have read on many feeds about ignoring them. However I just wondered because in my case the police was called and the officer came down and spoke to me but he made me do a community resolution and gave me a warning, if it would still work of me ignoring these letters. He said I don't have any criminal conviction it's just on the police system I did the community resolution .

They called the police over £5 .... surprised the call was even responded to!

Community resolution, although it involves an admission of guilt does not result in a criminal record, but does remain on police records.

It makes no difference to RLP, who you should ignore as per Mike770.
Plenty of threads on here about RLP and you can read their letters here https://legalbeagles.info/forums/for...rs-rlp-and-dwf
